Abercrombie & Fitch ia an American fashionretailers, headed by chairman and CEO Michael F. Jeffries. The Abercrombie & Fitch branded focuses on casualwear for a target consumer ages 18 to 22. David T. Abercrombie (June 6, 1867 - August 29, 1931), often referred to imply as Abercrombie, is the original founder of the modern american lifestyle brand, Abercrombie & Fitch. A topographer and expert in the outdoors, Abercrombie opened the company through great years of success. After leaving the company, Abercrombie lived the remainder of his life in Adirondacks with his family until his death. Today, his company, Abercrombie & Fitch company is frequently referenced as simply "Abercrombie".

 

Ezra H. Fitch (1866 - June 16, 1930), mainly known as simply Fitch, is the co- founder of the modern lifestyle braand, Abercrombie & Fitch. A wealthy New York lawyer, Fitch began as one of the company's first customers, until finally leaving his practice and joining into the company with David Abercrombie. Fitch is attributed with muh of the company's successful groth in its early years and a collection of now-defunct upscale apparel and fragrances were introduced in his name.

                 On June 4, 1892, he founded Abercrombie Co. as a small waterfront shop at N0. 36 South Street in downtown Manhattan, where New York lawyer Ezra Fitch was one of his regular customers.
 
In 1900, Ezra Fitch, a wealthy New York lawyer, bought a share in Abercrombie's successfully growing company.
 
In 1904, it was incorporated and re-named, "Abercrombie & Fitch Co."
