D&B is one of the biggest business credit reporting agencies in the United States. They database information about companies across America that do business with vendors and creditors(also known as tradelines). They also create a file for your business, and give you a score once you have three tradelines reporting. This is called a PAYDEX score. Normally you start out with a score of 80. I don't know whether the actual corporate office knows this, but i will at least say that many of their employees in sales practice lies and extortion(My personal opinion, you decide). First they will call you and use very high-pressure sales techniques that are actually illegal. If you've ever received this call you know what i mean. It's almost on a time share salesman's level. First lie: they tell you that if you do not buy thier product you will not be active in their system. Second lie: if you do not purchase their product you will not receive a rating. Third lie: you will not receive a Paydex score. This is clearly not true at all. None of it! To me that is misleading and illegal. Let me tell you the truth! If you do not buy their products you will still get a paydex score. You will be active in their system, and it just takes a little longer to get a rating. Just follow the instructions on this website and you will be fine.

Another thing about d&b that i must explain is, a paydex score means nothing if the numbers are low. if you order from three net 10s and only spend $50 per order, the total credit is only $150 with an 80  paydex. Hardly enough to get a loan from the bank, but it's a start! Visit this site daily to check for updates.

D&B credit builder: to buy or not to buy, that is the question
.

Hopefully I will answer this question once and for all.

If you are a start-up business with a fresh tax ID and trying to establish basic starter financing, I would not recommend purchasing the credit builder. If you are a start up or existing business with at least a $10,000-20,000 budget to work with, I would recommend buying actually the $700 credit builder as opposed to the $500 or the $299. The one for $299 is basically to make you pay the cheapest toll to get over the the bridge. In all fairness once you pay them anything your passage will be a little more comfortable. I'm just here to help you understand exactly what you're paying for. Also, The $500 credit builder is for those businesses that have current tradelines. So you pay the $500, you then get to report say a local hardware store you do business with and have established credit with manually on your credit report. You get to manually report up to 5 current tradelines. But there is a catch! The vendor/s you plan to manually report, must have a clear d&b file. Also is required to have had that file for at least a year. businesses such as Uline,grainger,etc.. already have an agreement with d&b and they are eligible. So I hope that answers the question. If you have no tradelines to report, why pay $500? If already do business with eligible vendors, and they equal about five in total, then yes buy it. Im done. D&B Rating:

There are only three ways to get a d&b rating. Buy the $500-$700 credit builder. Upload verifiable corporate income information filled out by a CPA, and three, as time goes by,  your file accumulates naturally.

PAYDEX SCORE:

After you have at least three tradelines on your D&B report, you will receive a paydex score of normally 80(assuming all orders were paid) Important note: net 10s report faster because they are on a ten day cycle. So most report inside of one month. But a paydex score is not the end all be all of acheivement.
A paydex score with only one experience per trade is useless. You must at least order from each tradeline twice. This establishes a a credit pattern which is needed to achieve a proper trade file. Purchasing only once may have your d&b file flagged because of old tricks that used to be in play, but are now obsolete. So take notice to this advice. I am working real hard to prove I am the best. Ask your boot camp manager does he/she know any of this insider info. That way I can stop cutting a check to my moles inside the credit bureaus. Ask the individual selling you that shelf corp, does he/she transfer any credit with that shelf. If not It's useless. He/She is useless! The shelf is useless.  Excuse me while I beat my chest. I am the best!!!  Long live the king! Because if he does'nt live long, god help you all. Somebody has to tell you the truth. lol
